2012 Club Membership and Scholarship Thanks
Dear Notre Dame Alumni, Family, and Friends,
Hello to all members of the Notre Dame Family, we hope you all have enjoyed a wonderful Easter Holiday with your families and friends.
Congratulations are in order for the ND women’s basketball team on their run to the Championship game. It showed what ND is all about great effort, sportsmanship, talent and class. The football season is fast approaching and a great season is anticipated, with talented returning players, coaches, and a top 15 recruiting class.
We want to thank all of you ND Club of Greater DuPage members for your membership and your support for the Club in 2011 and for signing up in 2012.
For those who have not had the opportunity as of yet, please consider joining or renewing your membership in your local ND Alumni club for 2012.

2012 Christmas Brunch
Along with these great events we also are sponsoring and participating in many community service activities, (e.g. Loaves and Fishes, Feed My Starving Children, Little Friends, Summer Student Service Projects) if you are interesting in volunteering or contributing to these efforts please contact the ND Club via our website, www.ndclubdupage.com.
As in the past, we offer many choices of membership levels, including one that reserves your right to purchase two tickets to the club football game, and several that include raffle tickets for the right to purchase a pair of tickets to that game. For 2012, we will offer the choice of tickets to either the BYU (Oct 20) or Pittsburgh (Nov 3) home football games if you register by May 10.
Whether dues or donations, your financial support to the Club is tax-deductible. Please make some time for your Notre Dame Family in 2012!

UND Night - Monday May 14th
The Club will be hosting our annual UND Night on Monday May 14th. Joining us from campus will be Trent Grocock, Senior Director Office of Budget and Planning. Trent will be providing insights into the long term planning and current events at the University. His bio can be found here.

Cost: $40 per person for family style dinner, including non-alcoholic drinks. Alcoholic drinks will be available for individual purchase.

Rebuilding Aurora
The Club will be assisting with Rebuilding Aurora on April 28 and 29. We are requesting manpower to perform light rebuilding and clean up on these days. Please contact Frank Martin frank_martin@ml.com for more details.
Tax Assistance Program Results
Our Tax Assistance Program volunteers helped to organize another busy and productive season at the Naperville Public Library. We were joined by over 20 volunteer student tax preparers from Benedictine University, and also had critical assistance from about a dozen adult volunteers from the university, our club, and the Naperville community. We saw over 100 visitors at our site over three Saturday mornings, and we completed tax returns for 88 clients while helping them claim over $83,000 in Federal and IL State tax refunds. This year was also a notable one for our program as we were able to offer, for the first time, e-filing services to our clientele. Many thanks are owed to all of our program's volunteers for their diligence, and for the care taken in serving our clients.

Loaves and Fishes Volunteers Needed
May is Hesburgh Service Month. The ND Club of Greater DuPage regularly volunteers at Loaves and Fishes every 1st, 3rd, and 5th Wednesday of the month (when there are 5 Wednesday's in a month like May 2012) from noon to 3pm. All adult club members and friends are invited to volunteer. Sorry Loaves and Fishes cannot accommodate children volunteers during our time slot. Anyone interested to volunteer can contact Andy Lindsay (andy.lindsay@comcast.net) for more details.
